4 Months

Genevieve had her 4 month well-check appointment & shots with the doctor today.  The nurse loves her and Genevieve finds her very amusing as well.  She was 14lbs 15oz (75th percentile) and 26 inches long (97th percentile); we aren't quite sure where she got the length from!  She was generally in a good mood for most of the appointment until she got her shots, then she was not so happy anymore.  Luckily, she calmed down pretty quickly and has slept most of the day.  Right now she seems to be in a pretty good mood after a dose of Tylenol, so hopefully she stays this way.  :)

The doctor also OKed her to start solids, as she's showing all the signs of being ready. She sits with assistance, doesn't push things out with her tongue anymore, & is generally interested in whatever anyone else has while they're eating.  I don't think we're going to go full-force again with solids, but we may sample some things every now and then.  Tonight she had a bite or two of some very soupy whole-grain baby oatmeal thinned with breast milk.  She didn't spit it out, but she did look at me like "What is this stuff, ma?!"  We may try again in a few days.
