3 Weeks Old

Genevieve turned 3 weeks old yesterday and boy has it been a whirlwind.  She has undoubtedly shaken things up in the Kirchner household.  So much for an entire night's sleep; we're happy for a 4 hour stretch and ecstatic for anything longer.  Sometimes we just wish for 2 hours of sleep to be honest!  As young as 3 weeks is, G definitely has a personality and agenda of her own.  I think she inherited some feistiness from her mother (who would have guessed?), but she can also be very snuggly like her dad.  She is gaining weight like a champ, too!  We had her at the doctor's office on Saturday morning because we suspected she had reflux and she weighed in at 8lbs 12oz -- when we left the hospital less than 2 weeks prior she was only 7lbs 3oz.  Her little cheeks are filling out very nicely!  She's began taking medicine for the reflux and we've seen a difference in her thankfully.  I'm a little bit behind, but birth announcements will be sent out; they'll most likely arrive in a duo-pack with our holiday card as well.  Stamps are expensive these days!  I will try and gather some new pictures of her and post them.
